somebody horrible slept here. some macabre scene played out and the carpet was bled upon and the tile was cold under the body’s fetid disengagement. nobody in the hallway noticed the sounds. and he slept well. relieved and satisfied with his skillful performance. the wake-up call aroused him. she had a slight accent. his fingers were still stained. he licked them clean
somebody beautiful fucked here. they met at the conference and she invited him up. drinks and straight talk. words like take me and taste me and make me remember you. and she wasted no time with timid smiles as she kissed her way down. and he opened her up. they came as strangers with first names only. they came hard. he left. she set the alarm for her early flight home
somebody said prayers here. a brother and sister were tucked into bed by mom and dad. and their souvenirs were on the dresser. and their hair was damp with generic shampoo. and they giggled and they fought over the covers before midnight. and by one they were sleeping. by two their dreams were dancing. playgrounds and carnival rides and amusement park costumes
I can’t fall asleep here. the highway is rambunctious and the a/c is rattling. there’s too many hours for thought in each of my nights. I’m wondering who was watching me from the other side of the mirror while I was walking around naked. I need coffee. it’s free in the lobby. I don’t want to touch the tv remote. the moon is a deadpan voyeur. this isn't working. and I’m paying for all of this. one way or the other
