the hauberk
the kevlar
the steel mesh
the polycarbonate
the sedative veil
the fallacious word
the lesson plan
the mothering hand
all bare skin now
and delirious laughter
naked in the
glowing grace
of a burning
confessional
nobody’s listening
and there’s
no penance assigned
the door opens -
