out comes fear from
its ancient haunt
the compounded virulence of
intrusive despair
weaving its way through these
throes of longing
what beast is tamed that
has no form,
what fear is suppressed that
overtakes like fog
splay the body
from throat to groin
to find the source
only to
destroy the vessel
