fog

unsourced, unexplained

but the fog still

rolls in

and when it has

nowhere to go,

it settles everywhere

ruthless, careless

uninvited guest at best

at worst, my destroyer

without eyes for sympathy

without flesh for pain

I’d wish it away

but there’s nothing for the 

wish to adhere to

so here I am, helpless

with nowhere to go
