fragile things (2)

the fluttering of a leaf

the sound of sun declining

the tree
in its coarse skin

my body, giving

the little creatures

a rustling, a scampering

the beast that I am,
trespasser

a breath of
lushness and decay

the uninhibited song

the tickling intimacy

the root like
a vein through rich soil

the night
and fragile things

morning kiss

temptress in morning light
soft elegance in sigh approach
music in delicate arrival
first touch, euphoria

rhythm upon superlatives
swelling deeper this intensity
called hush in blooming silence
when at once, that kiss

3/20/23

striations

striations of a day
fragments that make up
the thin lines that coalesce
into something we call
complete

the many moods
the truths revealed
the attention span that
comes and goes until
called upon to finally
stay

just love me, she says

like she’s a single star in the sky
feeling lost among the trillions

when she’s the only one I see

1/20/23

where silence resides

gold on green and shadows beneath
where silence resides, unfazed by time
stilled and hushed, unmoved by much;
a passing breeze and sunlight’s touch

the ebb and flow, with tender care
as life climbs up and down the stairs

with peace in hand, this hour demands
a slower pace, meditation and grace;
to love and love, to give the giving of
blooming outward and opening up

the ebb and flow, the inner truce
where silence resides in solitude

1/16/23

in the first sun

so there you are once again
expected and nothing new

as an onlooker, observing
from the outside looking in

here I am, tepid, me and my
mercurial temperament

rinsed of midnight’s anguish
and the bloodshed of the fight

not foolish enough to think
that you’ve come around for me

I have come here before you
for your touch, absolution

giver, great giver; I’m a burden to
this land with what I’ve become

disobedient; I must go now and
ready once more for the night

hatchling

at first blush, bleak
in weakness and disrepair

tied up in defense mechanisms
created to keep me
in self-preservation

I break out anyway

a hatchling wide-eyed
a hatchling squealing

born into a new day;
free as light

and just as unknowing
of my final destination

haze

haze, into cupped hands without sizzle shift or turn

confusing conflicting contrasting colors in delirious delicious melt

yellow, infectious…  the imploding suction of love’s happiness

green, hemorrhaging… a Spring leaking out of every pore

red, the gauze… need-soaked tight around this itinerant heart

purple, blue… popping like refrigerated berries squeezed to a sweet snap

black… a rose in midnight’s eternal bliss

white… this mirage floating, this forgotten garden

closer to far away than unreachable

heavy, in the thinning air, this haze

worth it

in your fogged mouth
the lemon hides
as an appetite stirs to
cause a fray

hunger resides
in a lonely distance while
calling out from this
blind silence

newness abounds
in morning’s softness
as lovers sleep and
lovers awaken

we’re carried forth
by hopes and promises
of something unseen but
well worth creating

the man in the woods

I met the man in the woods
he was releasing seeds
with the devil in his eyes and
silent vacancy in his mouth

against the trunk of a tree while
shadows came encroaching
like sunshine into water
how they crept upon him bare

first a drop, then another as
the leaves below him crackled
and with deeper breaths he
bellowed like a god in rage

as the sun began to die in its
calm smooth descent, so the
woods devoured him whole and
the seeds dissolved in the night

the source

I've met you again
but this time you are
precious and real

like discovering the
source of a shine

that which emits light
upon all others

radiance and plush, sun
through the cotton meadow

glaze and luminosity

and if you are this pure
this magnificent and
this sustaining

let me simply be
with you, eternally

and I will call that
enough

11/6/22

bereft

melancholy soft and
evening is bereft of birdsongs

hands come together in
front of me capturing the
setting sun,
azure skies fall to black

beauty is too quick a
combination of colors between
day and night, so brief

your voice among the
shadows now receding
into a forest's depth

the night is so young
and so long

so long

(my photo)

11/2/22

particles

particles in particular
we were
sliding silhouettes
as the evening arrived

but that was yesterday
and yesterday was years ago

my hands are empty now
palms to the sky

along with a half-smile
of moments and memories

and remnants of bliss
blurry'd white

(my photo)

11/1/22

clouds pass by
as they always do

what cloud has ever
remained in place

forever

my warmth,
she’s a thousand suns

a greeting of truth
however finite

(my photo)

lingering effects

some of the storm still lingers,
it always does

I'm not right yet
and neither are you
  but we survived

a little destruction brings
reassessment, rebuilding

testing the strength of our
bond cannot be done
only in perfect weather

  look
  look how strong and
  beautiful it is here
  now that the storm
  has settled

it always settles
it always does

though some of the storm
still lingers

between (my photos)

I want to be

between your cycles

of ups and downs,

somewhere neutral

with arms outspread

grasping tightly

helping you to

keep it all together

I want to be

between the distance

from here to there,

somewhere irrelevant

to the outside world

our secrecy, our garden

behind our walls of

evergreens and pretty violets

I want to be

between your legs

with lust and love,

somewhere everywhere

from outside to within

as dashes and dots

and bold exclamation points

extract your pronunciations

I want to be

between your heart and head

providing certainty,

joining logic and emotion

in a stronger bond

and allowing clarity

through the thickened clog

of swelling indecisiveness

sun/rise (my photos)

one

  tomorrow

    remains

I'm waiting for the sunrise

  naked and anxious

    I shake

sounds of rising

  stirs in the distance

    an uncomfortable arousal

whispers of the day

  winds that tease the skin

    and blood flow

stimulation slows time

  the grinding halt of touch

    a/sexual encounter

      and here

        comes

          the sun

1/21/22

fit to fire (my photos)

faultless body in the

chamber

lubricated ripe

and ready

love me the way of

being cocked back

and fit to fire off

small target of this

heart

off in the distance

you are

live ammo

aim for me

I am wide open

for you

head back

eyes

trembling in rapture

12/22/21

in the lab (my photos)

its a long way from fingertip

to fingertip and back again,

storms of interference pollute

the proper circulation

obstruction at the synapse

no transmittal no connection

somatic numbness or decline

bulk withholding and betrayal

this is presymptomatic, actions

indicative of complications

fight the urge of amputations

to extremities and entanglements

its a long way from fingertip

to fingertip and back again,

this anatomy is atrocious and

becoming more of a nuisance

10/24/21

barely nude (my photos)

mode

mood

but barely nude

prudish

perhaps

but poorly proficient

attitudes

latitudes

corruption to the core

cautiously

flauntingly

lazily in subtle ways

aye
I and

the inquisitive eye

full focus,

the camera at

self-close exposure

detailed

revealed and

decadent in bliss

realized

fantasized but

undermined resistantly

9/26/21

between stars and self (my photos)

the world wrestles with

wires and connections

their hands have hands

wanting more and more

I seek isolation between

stars and self

and let whatever shall

enter me

enter me
